The mission of Fiddlers Green Contra Dance is to perpetuate the pleasures of contra dancing and music making by:
- hosting regular contra dances at the Munson Library in South Amherst, Massachusetts;
- presenting great callers to lead dances that are friendly and fun for new and experienced dancers; and
- encouraging musicians of varying skill levels to sit in with a core of master musicians.
This painting which hangs in our dance hall at the Munson Memorial Library, is by Iso Stein and Ellen Kosmer and depicts the library facing the South Amherst Common, also known as Fiddlers Green. Contra dances have been held at the Munson Library for decades.
